We’re blessed with beautiful North Dakota sunrises and sunsets on a daily basis here at Hope Village.
This week’s big news is that Steve Carbno, the village coordinator, got a new toy, but we won’t announce that officially until next week, so stay tuned.
We’re gearing up for two more big weeks of big volunteer teams, which means more people rebuilding Minot.
In all, since May, we’ve had 106 volunteer teams in from 22 states. That’s a total of 1,004 volunteers.
Those volunteers have spent 29,423 hours rebuilding Minot. The estimated rate of a volunteer is about $17.50 per hour, so that comes out to $514,902 worth of labor volunteers have donated to the Minot area.
HopeVillage’s goal is to donate $3.2 million in labor, so there’s still much to be accomplished.
If you have a team – from Minot or not – that would like to help rebuild the city, please let us know.
We will save you a sunrise.
